Scribing is available again!

After disappearing from the game with the launch of the Seasons of the Worm Cult part 1 scribing has returned to Tamriel with the newest Golden Pursuits - and now it is available for everyone! Completing the Golden Pursuits will even grant you a Scribing station you can place in your home.

If you haven’t had access to scribing before now or if you was missing it on a new character you can once again find Adept Rinil and Votary Nahlia and acquaint yourself with the art of scribing.

What is scribing?

World and weapon skill lines have one scribed skill, which you can customize to your heart’s content (well, almost). You have to unlock scribing by doing a quest for Adept Irnard Rirnil which you can find outside the Mages Guild in Skingrad or Wayrest (I assume also the other alliance capitals). If it is your first time unlocking scribing you will also need to do all the wings in the Scholarium to get the full use of it

Is it worth it?

The short answer is: absolutely, yes. For DDs you get access to the Banner Bearer skill, which is excellent for most DD builds, and the beam Arcanist in particular. For tanks and DDs you can add a lot of utility which is useful even with subclassing.
